Face Masks donation to the needy to curb the Covid-19 Spread
The wearing of face masks has become a necessity in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic to prevent people from contracting or spreading the virus.
MyHelp-YourHelp Foundation in partnership with Give Me Hope Foundation donated 5,000 branded face masks and glass shields to the people of Chorkor and Jamestown, both suburbs of Accra in the fight against Coronavirus. The project was dubbed ‘Masks for The Needy Campaign’.
The communities were sensitized to using face masks. They were also taken through best practices on how to stay safe using the protocols outlined by Ghana Health Service.
The team used the opportunity to educate members of the communities on the disadvantages of child abuse, domestic violence, teenage pregnancy, and child marriage.
The residents expressed their gratitude to the foundation for the gesture.
The chief of Jamestown congratulated MyHelp-YourHelp Foundation and Give Me Hope Foundation for the kind gesture.
He further appealed to other NGOs, corporate bodies, and institutions to come to the aid of the needy and less privileged in society and put some smiles on their faces.
The two Foundations extended their profound gratitude to all donors, partners, families, friends, and organizers for rendering their support to save lives and serve humanity.
