Love at First Cry: MyHelp-YourHelp Foundation Brings Joy to Needy Mothers at Tema General Hospital
Tema General Hospital, Tema | December 26, 2024
As part of our annual Christmas outreach, MyHelp-YourHelp Foundation visited Tema General Hospital to spread love and hope to new mothers facing financial challenges.
What We Did
With compassion at the core of our work, we:
Cleared GHS 40,000 in medical bills for underprivileged mothers
Donated 50 hampers packed with essential baby and mother care items
Offered words of encouragement and prayers for families
What Was in the Hampers?

Each gift pack included:
- Diapers & wipes
- Baby soap, powder, oil & perfume
- Bibs, socks, mittens & hats
- Methylated spirit, cotton wool & detergents
- Sanitary pads & powder puffs
- Toys and baby antiseptics
These items were selected to help mothers transition smoothly into caring for their newborns.

Impact & Appreciation
The Hospital Administrator, Apostle Dr. Samuel Obeng-Mensah, received the donation and applauded the Foundation for supporting women during such a critical time. He emphasized the need for shared responsibility in maternal care, encouraging men to be present during pregnancy and childbirth, just like Joseph stood by Mary as narrated in the Bible.
Why We Do What We Do
MyHelp-YourHelp Foundation is a Christian nonprofit made up of professionals from various sectors who contribute their time, skills, and resources to help the less privileged.
Since our inception in 2018, we’ve executed over 22 life-changing projects, directly supporting orphanages, underserved communities, schools, and hospitals. Our work contributes to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly health, poverty alleviation, and child protection.

A Word from Our Founder
“Christmas is about love, and every newborn is a symbol of hope. This project is our way of giving that hope back to mothers who need it most.”
Quoting Galatians 6:2, “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ,” He reminded all present of the strength in collective compassion and social responsibility.
— Nicholas Cofie, Founder & President
