Lockdown Compassion Donation With Axis Pension Trust Limited

The Foundation in partnership with Axis Pension Trust Limited donated food items and Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) during the lockdown to 200 vulnerable individuals in four communities (i.e. Shiashie, Okponglo, Mempeasem, and American House).
Management of Axis Pension Trust Limited, having sponsored the Foundation in most of its outreach projects, found it prudent to partner with the Foundation to meet the needs of the vulnerable as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility in a time when Accra and other parts of the nation were under lockdown as a result of COVID-19 pandemic. This led them to donate food items worth GH¢15,000 for distribution among the vulnerable in the four communities.

 

Items distributed include;

a. 40 Sacks of 25kg bags of Rice
b. 17 Cartons of Bottles of Flytol
c. 4 Boxes of Tin Fish (Sardines)
d. 9 Boxes of Tin Tomatoes
e. 40 Packs of Toilet Rolls
f. 4 Boxes of Hand Sanitizers
g. 1 Box of Face Masks.

Mr. Ernest Attimah, General Manager of Axis Pension Trust, took the opportunity to implore individuals and corporate bodies to find ways of helping the vulnerable in these difficult times. He encouraged all to stay at home as much as possible and not take anything for granted. He further urged them to be persistent in prayer and heed the directives of the President.
Mr. Nicholas Cofie, President & Founder of the Foundation, also expressed worry and concern for the vulnerable, hence appealing for more support for the communities from individuals and organizations. He also seized the opportunity to educate the inhabitants on the importance of keeping safe and strictly adhering to precautionary measures. He concluded by acknowledging Axis Pensions Trust Limited and his team for their immense support over the years.
