An Easter Blessing: MyHelp-YourHelp Foundation Brings Hope and Joy to Rev. Obli Foundation
Rev. Obli Foundation Centre, Nsawam | March 30, 2024
It was Easter Saturday, March 30, 2024. MyHelp-YourHelp Foundation extended the message of Christ’s sacrificial love to the children and caregivers at the Rev. Obli Foundation Centre in Nsawam. Our team brought not just gifts and supplies, but also laughter, encouragement, and a deep sense of belonging to children who have lost their biological families but found a new one through care and compassion.

What We Did
Led by our Founder and President, Mr. Nicholas Cofie, we organized an Easter outreach packed with fun, food, and fellowship. Our goal was simple: to bring smiles, support, and the warmth of Christ’s love to every child.
Highlights of the day included:
- Exciting activities like face painting, Bible quizzes, poetry recitals, musical chairs, and dance competitions
- A delicious meal shared in love
- A special donation

What We Donated
In response to the Centre’s needs, we delivered a wide range of items, including:
• Bags of rice, corn dough, cassava dough, gari, and sugar
• Gallons of cooking oil and boxes of tinned fish
• Cartons of milk, bottled water, soft drinks, biscuits, and tomato paste
• Baby potties, mosquito nets, toiletries, and detergents
• Clothes and shoes for babies, children, and adults
• Toys to bring joy to the young ones
• GHS 5,000 in cash support
• Educational materials such as:
- 400 branded MyHelp-YourHelp exercise books (Note 1)
- 200 each of the Note 2 and Note 3 books
- 100 pens, 10 boxes each of pencils, erasers, crayons, colored pencils
- 10 sets of poster paints
- Textbooks for Primary and Junior High students in core subjects

Our Impact
The team’s presence was met with joy, gratitude, and renewed hope. The Foundation’s donations directly addressed the orphanage’s current needs, including food, educational resources, and shelter. The children’s excitement and appreciation were deeply moving, especially from beneficiaries like Piba, Gameli Flovi, and Roland, who expressed how much the support meant to them.
Mrs. Priscilla Yeboah, a member of the foundation experiencing her first outreach, reflected on the emotional weight of the visit and appealed to the public to support this cause. “These children need more than food—they need love, education, and the assurance that they matter,” she said.
About Rev. Obli Foundation Centre
Since 2015, this orphanage has served as a sanctuary for children who have lost their parents, beginning with just three children and now housing 24. The center, located in Nsawam, a town in the Eastern Region of Ghana, operates two family-style homes with surrogate parents, fostering a nurturing, family-like environment.
At the time of our visit, the Center was working to complete a three-story school building that will enable children to access quality education onsite. Their efforts are funded through small-scale farming and livestock rearing, but much more help is needed to bring their vision to life.
Urgent needs included:
- Stationery and school fees
- Food supplies and toiletries
- Furniture and building materials
- Scholarships to secure their future

A Word from Our Founder
“In every child, we see potential. Easter reminds us that hope is alive—and that we must be the hands and feet of Christ in the world,” shared Mr. Nicholas Cofie. “Thank you to all our members and sponsors. You make this work possible.”
Thank You
To our sponsors, donors, and prayer partners—thank you. Because of you, these children experienced Easter not just as a holiday, but as a living testimony of love in action. Together, we are building lives and lighting paths toward a brighter future.
